So, I'm taking a few newbies scalloping this weekend and have been hounding them about getting their liscense. I know one has, and not sure about the other one. If somone on my boat is caught harvesting without a liscense can I get into any trouble? I'm just getting tired of babysitting grown adults.

Edit; I check with all new to my boat friends if they have license and if not it is time to get out the phone and go on line and get one. Have had people get there license going out the inlet on line. It is a hassle with some people that don't think it is necessary to get a license and instead want to chance it, but it is a bigger hassle to deal with LEOs if checked.

I believe the response at that time was that its not your problem if someone onboard doesn't have a license. Matters of boat safety belong to the boat owner/operator, but the license issue belongs to the person.
Don't quote me on this...but I think that's the response that was received on the topic.
