Headed out of Boynton inlet around 6:45 after picking up some live pilchards from Gary the bait guy. The inlet was a little hairy getting out, especially with a smaller boat posing for pictures in front of me, i guess there was a few tournaments going on. Put the spread out and headed NE in hopes for a Wahoo, current was ripping and with a south wind we ended up north of the pier quicker than i would of liked. Decided to head of shore , passed some scattered weeds in 550ft and then some more in about 770ft, when i noticed my live well wasn't working and was about 3/4 empty, it seemed to be a short or something, but quickly took my saltwater wash down hose and stuck it in the well, it saved our bait for the rest of the day. Finally in about 1050ft we found a bag floating with bait under it, quickly threw a few pilchards out and we were both tight, boated my mine with in 5 minutes , put out another live bait , came tight and put in rod holder to assist my buddy gaffing and getting his in the boat. After i boated his, i went back to my rod and continued to bring in the already hooked up dolphin as my buddy put another live bait out to try and get another hook up. With nothing else happening , I attempted to boat my fish when he spits the hook at the boat:banghead, we found the bag again but couldn't get another bite. By that time we were well north with the current ripping, so we packed it in and high tailed it SW back to Boynton not seeing anything else on the way back. Wish it could of been fishier out, but was glad to have boated a couple. (10# & 8#) Also was very fortunate not to see any thunderstorms, it actually was beautiful out all day until the wind started blowing out of the south around 3pm.

This June has to be the worst ever for Boynton. I've got a lot of friends saying the same thing.
I see your boat all the time, nice rig by the way.

The pilchards I got were about 5" , perfect for pich baits, he also carries gogs and runners( 561)704-8330, I usually catch my own bait, but this year has been terrible , I can't remember a time in June that I haven't been able to get some sardines in front of the inlet or LW pier . I hope they show up at some point.
