NEIGHBORS CAR

PopeyePopeye Posts: 14,296 Officer
My neighbor has an 80s Eldorado for sale. It belonged to his wife.

She hasent been heard from for years. I guess she had enough of him.

Im considering buying this car from him. However, there is a large black stain in the trunk on the carpet.

Plus the spare tire is missing, and so is the tire iron.

My neighbor wants $800. bucks. Other than what Ive stated, the car is in perfect condition.

Should I talk him down?

Sounds like he had enough of her.
$800 seems fair. What's the mileage?

Its I think an 86 or so. The VIN #s arent there. It only has 56,000 on it.

Plus it has whitewalls! And curbfeelers. I can forget the stain and smell if he meets my price of $500.

But my neighbor says its a clean title. He claims that his wife abandoned the car.

    She cant be contacted.

I think Ill give him a down payment tomorrow.

Give him all but $100 of the price and tell him you will be back later with the remaining $100 and will get the title from him then.
