I posted this in the ConFron, and will also post in the South General Section, but just felt that this is too vital to not make you all aware. If you can or can't attend, that's ok, I just don't want anyone to tell me "Hey, how come I didn't know?".
SEFCRI, the Southeast Florida Coral Reef Initiative, is an organization whose purpose is preserving the coral reef structure on Florida's Southeast Coast. I have just been assigned to one of the positions representing recreational anglers, and I wanted to make everyone here aware of some Community Meetings that are scheduled soon, so that if you'd like to participate, listen, learn, whatever, you know that this is happening.
Below is a list of scheduled "Our Florida Reefs" sessions. These are open to the public, and all "stakeholders" will be involved in the management process. I can't urge you enough, as recreational anglers like me, to try to attend, and if not, to forward your viewpoints to SEFCRI, which is under the auspices of the DEP. As an active FS Forum Member, I have noted many times the frustration you all face; well here's an opportunity to stand up and fight for the preservation of our awesome coral reef environment and for your right to enjoy it! I pledge to keep you updated with all new updates, and to provide all of your feedback to the SEFCRI team.
