I would appreciate any input on this question before I waste hard earned cash on a poor choice for a rod.
I plan on doing a lot of fishing in Mosquito Creek and the Indian River area so I bought two new Shimano Stradic 4000FJ reels and now am shopping for rods.
So far I like the :
Shimano Teramar M/F 7'6"
St. Croix MOJO 7"6" M/F
Daiwa Saltiga 7'6" MFS
Thanks for any opinions or help on this, it is appreciated
Good fishing

Note I also have the above reels on Star Aerial Rods, and Redbone rods and I still seem to go to / use the teramars the most.
One of the inshore guides I do fish with uses the teramars as well, mostly with Saros 3000 and CI4 2500's.
I wanted one set up for me and one for the wife who is also into fishing, now that were retired we can finally do what we want. Also it's also good to have a spare, if ya get my drift. :fishing

I would rather have deep drill dentistry with no anesthesia....than have my wife with me while I fish.....:wink
I'm no guide either...and I don't know anything about the "Mojo"....but I think St Croix gives good bang for the buck...I Like my Premier very well...and my next rod will be a Tidemaster...

7'6" Star Stellar Lite M for strictly artificials.
I have a shimano 4000 on the coastal and a penn 4000 on the stellar lite and they both handle and balance very well.
However, unless I'm fishing around cover, I use 3000 series reels and 7'-7'6" ML rods. Much lighter.

As the old redneck told me years ago..
" I wouldn't trade her for a million bucks...BUT...I wouldn't give you ten cents for a dozen more just like her" :rotflmao

Chevy or Ford....and don't overlook my Ram.... or the imports...
What I would say is...If you have not used the 4000's yet...take one back and trade it for a 3000 or 2500 series reel...match it with a 6'6" (2500) or 7 ft rod and tell your wife that that is hers...:wink You might find that after a few hours of casting...*YOU* will need to get your own smaller set up....there is a big difference when you make a hundred casts a day.
Go to one of the bigger stores like strike zone or Bass pro/Gander etc and see if you like the feel of both the Terramar and several St Croix with the reel you intend to put on it...
