There's tons of good wading oppurtunities out here.. too many to name... check out google earth.. you can find some great spots and can even see the grass.. well the grass don't look near as good now as it did in the satellite image .. look into a cheap canoe if you can haul one... it will greatly expand your range

There are a lot od wade fishing along the causeway areas. The only place they seem to frown upon is the nasa causeway area.

OK...here's the pin in the balloon....

If you are going to school on Orlando....Try and live over on the west side as near to I-4 as you can....Since O town is about as close to Tampa as it is to Titusville... this way you can get home and fish your home waters. Sorry to say....this area is crowded...and the habitat is in a death spiral.

Do what you will.....but remember who gave you this sage advise. :)

Hey Duck, remember he's going to school. Maybe that haven't had that class yet.

Seriously, he's not telling you wrong. That's not saying that there is not some fishing inshore around Titusville, but it's not nearly what it used to be. Now there's talk that the brown algae bloom is back. If that's the case you're going to have to travel some distance to get into some decent fishing. If you're on the west side of Orlando, travel time, not necessarily distance, is going to be pretty close whether you go to Titusville or hit the east side of Tampa Bay. It all depends on where you decide to call home.

All due respect, but you posted in search of tips and guidance. Duckman gave you what you asked for, and you lashed back a little. Before you react like that you may want to read through the east central region forum and observe that you just shot a wise crack at a dude that posts helpful info on a daily basis, fishes the region on a daily basis, and puts more fish in his skiff than most dream of. Not a good way to introduce yourself if you ask me...

Thank you...for having my back as it were...

I think he may just be suffering from what many do....they hear of some "promised land" and he may have thought I was trying to horde the action....Honestly, I wish it were that...but the facts...as he will learn...is that the whole IRL system is in a very serious condition.

I hope that ML and the NMZ are the last hold outs and the fishery can sustain itself in that small piece of the much larger system..... The brown algae issue is one that may be with us a very long time.

So what is new on the brown algae situation. I read a couple of fish reports a couple months ago about good snook fishing but haven't kept track lately.

Duckman: No worries, I truly appreciate your contributions to this forum.
dsteus1: It's cool, just an observation. I currently live in orlando on the west side of town. Takes me right at an hour to get into the t-ville area, from the east side of town you can in fact be there pretty close to 45-50 min via 528. PM me when you get into town and I'll give you a few tips; I'll even take you out on my skiff if schedules cooperate. I'm moving to south fl in 3 weeks so try to hit me up before then. Take care.

The inlet is still a good fishery...It is time and tide dependent.

Again, It may or may not be better than your home waters for you and will be a pretty big trip from Orlando but many guys do make that trip..especially when they are targeting Snook..

If you learn the inlet fishery...it is VERY good (just not my cup of tea)
