If you are going to school on Orlando....Try and live over on the west side as near to I-4 as you can....Since O town is about as close to Tampa as it is to Titusville... this way you can get home and fish your home waters. Sorry to say....this area is crowded...and the habitat is in a death spiral.
Do what you will.....but remember who gave you this sage advise.

Seriously, he's not telling you wrong. That's not saying that there is not some fishing inshore around Titusville, but it's not nearly what it used to be. Now there's talk that the brown algae bloom is back. If that's the case you're going to have to travel some distance to get into some decent fishing. If you're on the west side of Orlando, travel time, not necessarily distance, is going to be pretty close whether you go to Titusville or hit the east side of Tampa Bay. It all depends on where you decide to call home.
Thank you...for having my back as it were...
I think he may just be suffering from what many do....they hear of some "promised land" and he may have thought I was trying to horde the action....Honestly, I wish it were that...but the facts...as he will learn...is that the whole IRL system is in a very serious condition.
I hope that ML and the NMZ are the last hold outs and the fishery can sustain itself in that small piece of the much larger system..... The brown algae issue is one that may be with us a very long time.

dsteus1: It's cool, just an observation. I currently live in orlando on the west side of town. Takes me right at an hour to get into the t-ville area, from the east side of town you can in fact be there pretty close to 45-50 min via 528. PM me when you get into town and I'll give you a few tips; I'll even take you out on my skiff if schedules cooperate. I'm moving to south fl in 3 weeks so try to hit me up before then. Take care.
Thanks a bunch man ill definitely hit you up for some info greatly appreciated ill be moving there on june 8th i also see that sebastion inlet might be worth the far drive if i could pull up some of those mammoth fish despite your bad water conditions im still excited for a change of fishin some new area to learn thanks everyone for all the info deffinetly helped me out
The inlet is still a good fishery...It is time and tide dependent.
Again, It may or may not be better than your home waters for you and will be a pretty big trip from Orlando but many guys do make that trip..especially when they are targeting Snook..
If you learn the inlet fishery...it is VERY good (just not my cup of tea)
