    There should be NO Commercial Fishing for any fish species considered 'Over-fished' , 'Undergoing Overfishing' or Subject to Recreational Seasons, Limits, or Closures... Game Fish Status IS the Answer !!!

    Here is the mission statement of Frontiers of Freedom Institute; “Frontiers of Freedom is an educational institute whose mission is to promote the principles of individual freedom, peace through strength, limited government, free enterprise, free markets, and traditional American values as found in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.”

    Apparently, Mr. Landrith’s endorsement of catch shares runs contrary to many of their basic tenets;

    Promote free enterprise? By gifting an industry with a GUARANTEED % of the market? By the government deciding who gets what and how much? Sounds awfully like SOCIALISM to me – CERTAINLY not free enterprise.

    Promoting traditional American values as found in the Constitution? By endorsing an agenda that attacks the very foundation of the 10th Amendment of our Constitution? The feds have no authority to dictate what happens in state waters/lands, and that fact is very clearly spelled out in the 10th Amendment.

    Promoting individual freedom by taking away the People's freedom to fish by endorsing a concept that prevents people from accessing our Public Trust Resources so that a few may profit at the expense of the many?

    It seems this fellow is more than happy to violate the doctrines that he supposedly stands for in this age of well-funded environmentalists buying these types of endorsements for their ideological agenda.
