Best place to buy trolling motor batteries

BarnakillerBarnakiller MemberTerra Ceia, FlPosts: 90 Deckhand
I have had a pair of AGM batteries from West Marine that have lasted about 5 years, but are not as strong as they once were. I believe I want to go with AGM's again (group 27), but anything that size that I can get 5 years or so out of would be fine. Just wondering where most buy batteries around here. I paid $300 for the pair and would like to keep it around that. My Port Supply discount is not as good as it once was, since I don't spend thousands at West Marine. Thank you for any input.

My Port Supply discount sucks now too... I never get >10% off anything anymore...
There should be NO Commercial Fishing for any fish species considered 'Over-fished' , 'Undergoing Overfishing' or Subject to Recreational Seasons, Limits, or Closures... Game Fish Status IS the Answer !!!

I just bought 4 Cabela's AGMs...I think its a good battery for the price. I dont know who makes them for Cabela's but they seem pretty good.

Sears platinums are a very good AGM, excellent warranty. If you look for sales you might find them for under 200, 150 was five years ago.

Marine surplus down off 15st east always treats me well. 15th and like 67th ave or so
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]24ft custom re-built Tcraft. Runs shallow as hell and rides smooooth.

I didn't think of Sears, or Marine Surplus. Good idea. Seems like there is nearly always a way around paying retail if you do a bit of research.

Might be worth checking out Electro Battery. I don't know about their AGMs but I buy their $40 reconditioned lead acids for my truck, boats, and camper and they last as long as new.
