got in to some nice trout!

got in to some good trout Saturday on the grass flats. water temp was around 70 and there was a supper dense fog rolling in and out all day. we were throwing live shrimp at first and getting robbed by every besides what we wanted to get. So we started throwing plugs and gulp shrimp. Some small trout at first 15" to 17" my buddy lost a big 25" right at his feet when we were trying to string it up hahah i guess that's how it goes some times. So we walked back to the car an went to the bait shop got a net! We did not want that to happen any more that was like the 3 big fish in a month that got away for that same reason. So we got back to the water and hit it hard then i got this nice 23" and a few other medium ones. All in all good day!

the big fish over 22" are mushy-save the stringer for the 18"-20"ers they are better to eat and you will get nicer filets. nice job on the trout either way.

yea for sure. There was only 3 fish we caught that were keepers the other two were 16" so we thought for a nice dinner for four we should keep the 23". other then that we would not have keep it.
