The annual 2013 UW-F/FWC WATERFOWL SUMMIT will be held on August 8-9 at the Ocala Hilton Hotel. The event begins with a Game Dinner Thursday evening at 6 pm in the area next to the pool. The Meeting begins at 8 am Friday in the ballrooom.

The Summit has presentations by scientists and wet land managers through out the day and a discussion panel at the end. The Summit attracts local, state, federal agencies,ie..USACE, FWC, FDEP, USFWS, water management district staffs, environment groups, conservationists and duck hunters. It is a great time to network with the people who manage the wetlands we hunt.

Watch for emails and posts on various forums with a place to click to make your reservations. The Summit is Free, as are all UW-F events, but attendance is limited to the capacity of the ballroom..about 200, and we "sold out" last year.

The Speaker line up will be announced in the near future. Subjects range from Everglades, Kissimmee River and St. Johns River restorations to Lake Okeechobee to the "how tos" for marsh and wetland management, including invasive plant management.
