Wait, are you not the guy who said that the NCAA tanked this investigation on purpose because they did not want them to be heavily punished because college football is "big business"??? So much for YOUR credibility. It seems to be about as good as the NCAA's right now. UM is not going to get any real harsh punishment other than maybe probation or some scholarship reductions. You want to know WHY? Because at least one of the 18 members of the NCAA Infractions Committee is already on record as saying the NCAA should have been "Really, really, skeptical" about using Nevin Shapiro as a source which will probably hold some weight with others. Then you have the USC Coach Todd McNair lawsuit which was caused because the NCAA used the testimony of ANOTHER convicted felon without any other evidence to make the decision the sanction him. Just so you know on that case the Judge has already ruled that he has demonstrated a probilbility in winning his case and he was a VICTIM of a "malicious" and "over the top" investigation by the NCAA. Sound familiar???? If needed UM will sue if the punishment is more than they agree with.
YOU don't following well do you? Umis going to get waked but nothing like what the NCAA would have to do if they didn't make " mistakes". The should get the death penalty but the NCAA didn't want to be forced to do that so..... oopps we made a "mistake"
The Death Penalty??? Really??? Hate to break the news to you chief but despite the desires of UF & FSU fans there was never any chance of UM getting the death penalty even if ALL the allegations were true. You also might need to realize that the NCAA really does not control college football anymore. The Commisioners of the four major conferences do and there is no way they are going to allow one of their major members to get the death penalty because it would not just affect the school but ALL of the schools within the conference. The day is coming real soon where the NCAA has nothing to do with D1 college football. It will all be run by the 4 conference commisioners. This latest blunder by the NCAA will just spped it along.
The NCAA is a bunch of blithering idiots. I too think one day the major conferences will "secede" and appoint a commissioner much like the pros do. Have you heard about the latest proposal on the table by these knuckleheads? The short version is, require the three blind mice (game officials) to eject a player flagged for unneccessary roughness. Everyone knows how judgemental those calls are to begin with, now they put players and the outcome of games in the official's hands even more than they already do? LUNACY!!![]()
Just drink the god d*mned koolaid!
I enjoy watching the FSU fans giddiness of anything against the U.
Can't blame them considering how many times the U made them their little biotches.![]()
Finally you get it. Congrats!!
That ball is already rolling but most people have no clue. The NCAA gets ZERO money from FBS football or their TV contracts and have no authority over ANY FBS post season play. So who controls the FBS football. The conferance commisioners do and that is why you are seeing schools jump from conferance to conferance without the NCAA having any say so in the matter. The structure is there for the 4 FBS Super Conferances and that is where it is going. That and the playoff system are the last things needed before FBS football says bye bye to the NCAA in all aspects including rules and enforcement.
