I finally started the 2013 Tournament Season this year not able to fish the first one due to work constraints. I was excited about the new East Coast Division series coming from Miami and able to stay in the same coast. I have been checking the weather report and the winds were getting progressively worst each day as the tournament approached. I launched at the Beacon 42 launch site and decided to head east across the Lagoon. After fighting the winds for what seemed to be an hour I finally arrived at the East side of the Lagoon and started fishing the shoreline. I came up on a protected little bay no deeper than 2 feet of water and started to see baitfish all around me. I tossed a DOA shrimp and thats when the fun began. I caught a 3 Redfish slam and a spot at 2nd place. Not too shabby to start out the season.
