Went out a few weeks ago on my flats boat and had some fun with big bull reds. Since then I have sold the boat and up graded to a 19 center console. Wanted the first fish in the boat to be a nice one so went out to give it a shot. I actually have to give credit to my girlfriend for getting the first fish in the boat, which was a 4 inch pinfish..but a fish none the less. Then it was my turn, my buddy baited the rod with a nice chunk of cut mullet and then we sent her out. A little while later I look back to see the rod bent over, no drag pulling just bent over. Ran over and made sure we were hooked up. Had a nice little 25-30 min battle and finally got it in the boat.. went past the florida sportsman law stick so im estimating around 40".. and a FAT 40". Snapped some shots and she swam away nice and healthy. Ill take it for the first trophy on the boat..( and no I didnt get excited and wet myself, its from the fish)
