    Port of the Isles?

It looks like we are going to be spending a week down there in July. I am curious about what type of fishing opportunities will be available that time of year. I used to fish down there once or twice a month back in 06-08, but only ever did the inshore thing with shrimp or whitebait around the mangroves. While that type of fishing is fun, what will my other options be? Chasing tarpon? Tripletail? Cobia? Permit? How far to any wrecks? I will be fishing out of a 22' Pathfinder to give you an idea of my limitations. Any help or insight would be great.

Permit will be stacked on the wrecks, tarpon will be thinner in july but moving north in smaller pods along the beaches and some resident fish will be along the deeper creek mouths/channels, cobes will be mainly near the wrecks but can be found near the edges of the deeper flats also, trips can be found at some of the markers or just free swimming.

Remember there are very large sharks around that time of year over there. Any fish needs to be brought in quickly and watch your hands when reviving/releasing a fish!

    Good luck man.

Thanks for the tips. I found some info about artificial reefs on the Collier County website, but can't view it while on the work computer. Over here we have the "Homeport Charts" that have the #'s for public reef sites, wrecks, etc.... I searched Homeport for a chart for the area, but came up empty handed. Any advice on where to locate one similar to what I am refering to?
