Took my cousin fishing for tails, went out of Matheson Hammock In my boat and the ocean was nice Ne to east at 7 kts the current was nice toward the north and the tails gathered behind the boat as usual, with the usual bonito in the way, I mostly ended up coaching her to catch most of the fish she had a blast and caught a mack, one big trigger and a small king and lost a nice big king, as it was approaching gaffing distance it ripped the two treble hooks right off and got going. After the current dropped and so did the bight so i headed to key largo to try some bottom spots in the deep water. I only got one black that was released to grow till may first, when I will hit this spot again and load up on muttons and grouper. the ocean started to grow and the current was ripping in this deep water, so we called it a day and took off from key largo to the M H ramp it took me 1 hour and 16 min.I let her drive a little too so she can learn, since she fishes with me, once in a while.tight lines to all.
