SLI 2/2 Phin and missed sails

Went out Saturday to try and bag a few phins for Superbowl Sunday! Started out north of SLI in 130/' and worked our way out to 250'. Pretty blue water out in 250' with scattered weed and missed on a few phins. Then finally connected on a solid cow in 150' Missed on double of sails (think im going to sharpin my hooks) to many misses for me. Naked ballys and pink skirt/bally combo were the ticket. Sounds like we're going out in the am so hoping for some more dinner. O had my 4 legged buddy with us again and I was on high alert not loose another spool of leader to him!

Looks like your 4 legged buddy was working on hydrating himself pre-super bowl party, as I'm sure you gave him beer in his dog bowl for the game! Nice cow, did you cook it for the game, if yes, what preparation did you use?

I did. Made fried dolphin nuggets. Italian bread crumbs. Kept it simple

Not sure on the phin. He was going balistic so maybe the line or maybe the dog when he tackled her when she was slid onboard. Yes the ride is very comfy its a 42' Liberty. Usually our home when we're n the islands.

42 Liberty's are great....... I've always felt like they were a new and super stretch version of the old Bertram 31's, excellent lines.....

Glad you found the fins.
We were out saturday as well. Some decent rips, weeds very spread out.
Only boated 1 fin. Maybe we should have stayed in closer. Seemed to be were most the action was.

Dolphin nuggets sound good. maybe that is on the menu tonight.

nice job on the fin, wish I could bring my 4 legged buddy with me every time but she get sea sick when its rough
