1/27 Ponce inlet
Went to site 5, 5 miles off ponce inlet. Water was beautiful today! Reports said 3-5, id say it was about 2 foot swells only.
Anchored away from the wreck, ended up fishing in the sandy bottom in 65 feet of water. Stocked up on 3 dozen finger mullet, caught a ton of bluefish... baits couldnt hit the bottom before getting eaten by them.
After about 2pm, red snapper started hitting.... strange, there was no structure, just sandy bottom. Must have caught 6 of them all within 20-30lbs. Vented them and let them go, i cried a little bit on the inside lol.
Also got spooled by something on my Tld 25 with straight 30lb test.

Still a good day on the water... probably the man in the gray suit that spooled you!

That's a great fish for 5 miles out on a hard hit public arti. Very nice! Too bad those fish are extinct, or else you could have enjoyed one of those for dinner after a hard day on the sea.

Those reds are slowly moving inshore. Another 2 miles and you could keep it.

Hopefully soon! 3 miles and they are coming home with me!
