Anybody catching anything inshore around Englewood / Placida?

Between the cold fronts, red tide, and weak tides we've been fighting the past week I haven't had a lot of luck inshore this past week. Going to try fishing a little bit of the Myakka River tonight after work, hoping to stumble on some trout or hungry reds.

Anybody having some good luck lately?

Fished Placida area yesterday. 3 trout. Tough in the wind with a 40 degree chill factor. Going to hit the El Joe area about 12 noon today. High tide at 3:36pm. Might look in the Myakka Cut. At least we'll be out of most of the wind.

Thanks Joe. I'm in North Port also. Will be putting in at the ramp off Chamberlain tonight around 6:30... tight lines.

We got skunked. Didn't see a single dock light to fish. I did end up wrapping an anchor line around my prop though... so that was fun.

I have been seeing some activity around matlacha area, I have caught just a few reds and alot of trout but it has slowed down forsure. Night snooking is decent if you can find a dock out of the wind and has light.
