    Air Force Photography

Good stuff here. I particularly like #33 of the loadmaster.

If I could change anything I would bring back all the nukes to the airforce, say 1987 levels. If **** Cheney ever did a bad thing it was decomming the MX missile.

    some pretty amazing imagery...
my old man was in the airforce when it was still the army air corp....
he did a lot of stuff from flying in b-36's and up...

then he had a position when we lived in europe that he never wore a uniform and could speak 5 languages (spanish, french. russian, arabic and persion)....
to this day (he's 83) he won't tell me what he was doing...he was also a korean and 'nam vet...

he still fly fishes a couple times of week and rides his vulcan on long trips....
and some people denigrate the usaf....

the c-17 is known as the "globemaster"....
the original "globemaster" was the c-124 that had a clam shell nose for loading or unloading from the front....
it was the "heavy" of the 50's going into the early 60's...
then the c-5 came along in about 1972....

Does your Dad know anything about the issues with the C-5? Wing box issues and weight issues?

I'm certain he does. He was more involved in systems than the airframe. A group of his coworkers visited one night when I was probably about 12, heard lots of stories that night.
