My family went to Disney for our annual trip this weekend and we got back yesterday afternoon. I had the day off of school for MLK day and the weather lookeded good for a trip offshore. I called a few buddies and we did the first trip of 2013 in my boat and it was a good one. We fished 90-100ft. and the mangroves were chewing. Most fish were caught on light jigs or knocker rigs. We headed in around 1:30 and had over 30 mangroves and a handful of red grouper. The biggest snapper was just shy of 25". It was a great day. We stopped at a friends restaraunt on the way in and he cooked a few snapper for us. Fried, blackened and jerk. Yummy. Thanks Dave!!

Yeah - they look familiar, but I never see them when I'm not out in the Gulf. Something rare, I guess.
