Shallow water reds

Got out this morning in the yak to look for some schooling reds. It took awhile to find them cuz the dolphins were out and bashing anything that ventured off the shoreline. found the reds around 9 and spent most of my time trying to make them eat a fly since I have nver got a red on fly. Ended up taking three lower slot reds on fly until the school stopped coming within casting distance my my yak. I decided to trick the reds and pull out the spinning rod to add a little distance and it allowed me this over slot red at 29". Overall pretty fun morning and I must say I do enjoy watching those schools of red in 6"-1' of water, it just makes fishing so much better when you can see the fish.
