First post of 2013, really looking forward to this year. This past year was pretty good. I hope the same for everyone out there. Anyways i've been fishing in this so-called Winter, and it has be some pretty good fishing. Even though it has been very windy and cloudy most of the time. You have to make those calm days count, especially if sight fishing is in your agenda. The reds, snook, and tarpon are willing to eat just about any fly that crosses their path. From personal experience the key to getting the fish to eat has been stealth. All the fish in the pics were sight casted. So making quick cast and making sure the fly lands very quiet will get you the bite. Going to keep it short. I hope you guys like the report and pics. ENJOY!
Goldfish is a happy fish
Snookie
I spooked this snook and made another quick cast and got him to eat. It was awesome got everything on film.
The moment when he realized he should have kept on swimming.
To be caught another day. I hope they never ever open up snook season. These fish are making such a great comeback!
On the copperhead with eric and warren. One of those rare cold days.
