We haven't been rewriting the record book out there, and today was outright slow, but the northern part of the Sound has produced some really decent fish these last few days. Believe it or not, my last three charters combined have landed exactly one undersized trout. Every trout we caught was over 16" and most were pushing or over 20".
Last week the Gulps were the ticket but not lately. Live shrimp under corks pulled almost every one of these fish, including this 25" red caught by Cape Coral angler Chuck Downes.
Chuck went home with the best looking cooler of the week.
