Caught 8 of 9 sail bites today fishing on the Outlaw for the Pelican Yacht Club Invitational Tournament. We were fishing in 150-160ft of water just North of the Ft. Pierce Inlet. We had a slow start catching only 2 sails by noon. But we had an awesome 24 minutes of fishing for sails with circle hooks and dead bait. We caught 6 sails in 24 minutes in the afternoon. We hooked and landed 3 double headers in 24 minutes of fishing. We ended the day with 8 fish. We were in the lead for the daily award until 5 minutes before lines out when a boat called the Showtime hooked a quad and landed all four fish. That moved them from 6 fish to 10 on the day to win the daily award over us by two.
We also have a spot available on the DayMaker for the Sailfish Point Yacht Club Invitation running January 18, 19, 20th. We had and angler that had to cancel for personal reasons and we have three anglers and are looking for a 4th to share expenses and have a opportunity to win some money and trophies and enjoy some great events at the club house at Sailfish Point. If you are interested please give me a call at (772)405-0091 to discuss the details. This is a first come first serve situation.
Thanks and tight-lines
