free speech is free speech, a 1789 gun is NOT a 2013 gun

keep and bear arms that shall not be infringed means just that as well. Just because times change doesnt mean we can tweak what we think the amendment means. Do you think TJ knew computers would lead to cyberbullying and the death of school children? Same concept applies to the 1A

You mean things like using a vacum to suck an unborn child out of it's mother's womb so she does not have to endure the consequences of her actions?

For over two hundred years, abortion has been apart of the United States culture. During the 1700's, Americans viewed abortion merely as a means of ridding women of pregnancies that resulted from illicit relationships. Birthrates in the U.S. were extremely high at the end of the eighteenth century, so consequently the Americans wanted to lower birth rates. This social trend is best cited as "induced abortions became such a popular method of fertility control that it becomes a kind of epidemic" (qtd in Omran). Abortion went from a marginal practice of the desperate few to being a significant factor in the effort of American women to regulate their own fertility.

Why not? We do it for all the other amendments.

Wiretaps were not found in the 1780's so should the be allowed?
Cars were not so should the police be able to search them unfettered by the Constitution?

Cars are physical. Since there was no such thing as a heat seeking missiles, fighter jets, tanks, etc then would you agree that they should be banned from the military just because they were unimagined?

The standing army is different than the militia? Hence arms and not ordinances in the 2nd.
