As the only truck and trailer at the Mayport ramp, we headed out at about 5:00 am. A little bit chopper then forecasted but nothing too bad. We had 3 bites right off the bat, one bonitio, one wahoo (lost at the boat), and one billfish lost 600 yards behind the boat. Frustrated that we lost 2 nice fish we trolled on. 3.5 hours later without a bite, finally reel goes screaming. A wahoo about 30 lbs in the box completely changed my spirits. Made a big loop back to the same area as the first strike and sure enough another wahoo in the box in the low 40s. We started heading back to get some Christmas time on land. A great day on the water. We even had a small Christmas tree for the bow of the boat.
