So I planned a trip to take advantage of the the first day off work since I can last remember.We loaded up with baits from Ashley Baits as usual and ran into our good friend Jesse from Team Redstripe.The bay was nice,but once we got to government cut it was way better.We hit our spanish mackerel spot early to catch our limit on these wonderful baits.My brother Julio along with a friend of mines from work who had never fished on a boat before tagged along as well.So we had a lot of mackerel catching to do.After loading up on mackerels we decided to go sword fishing.Thats when we agreed to stay nearshore since it was 4-5 ft. seas. We all agreed we weren't into getting beat up for the day by the sea.So we started fishing for kings and mahi.It was a very slow day lots of fish everywhere on our fish finder,but they just weren't hungry.After a short while we started getting hits finally.Lost a couple of fish due to rookie mistakes, but hey it was Jose first time on a boat so we just had a good time watching this guys face light up every time that reel sang..
