    Blackwater bay trout and reds. 12/23/12

    I'm in S Florida now but came home for Christmas and made it out this AM. I haven't Blackwater more than once or twice since I left for school in '91 but it's always fun to get back on my home waters. It was about 35 degrees by the time we launched at highway 90.









    caught a little rat red down in the bay on the marked rock pile


    We moved back up to some deep water by I10 and got into solid fish; whites, speckled trout probably 40 in an hour between the 2 of us all on Gulp skrimps






    Finally the BIL was reeling in a trout across the surface and just as he got to the boat he got a free upgrade









    We ended back up at the train bridge in town and got a few more hits before calling it a day. at about 11:30.

    Hope yall have a good Christmas, I'll be heading back to the warm S FL fishing Wednesday.
