Sarasota Bay Redfish 12/18

It was my dads bday yesterday and I wanted to get him out on the water. I met up with forum member flatzbroke and we decided to do a little inshore trip to target redfish and trout. We arrived at 10th street boat ramp around 9 am and headed to our first spot. We fished potholes for about an hour catching a lot of trout (most trout were 13"-18") but one was 4-5 lbs. and a couple reds here and there. We drifted off the flat and made a move across the bay and it was on. Oversize redfish were everywhere, we caught them on the slayer inc sst matched with slayer inc predator jigheads 1/8 oz and 1/4 oz and floating sebile stick shads in 2-4 ft of water. The mullet boats were everywhere which made the fish spooky but we still manage to have a 30-40 fish day. We made one more move which turned out to be a bust so we headed to marina jacks for beers and lunch. Here are a few pics from the trip.

Looks like a good day on the water. Hows the food at Marina Jacks? We usually eat at newpass grill or salty dog

To be honest I only had an appatizer yesterday but the food I've ordered in the past has been good. We were going to Salty Dog but we had a couple engine hiccups so we put it on the trailer and went by car to marina jacks.
