Had to do engagement photos this past weekend on south beach in Fort Pierce, woke up to take the hound out and it was beautiful. Decided to hook the boat up and bring it along ;) Good decision, one of the nicest days on the water in awhile. Finished our photos and headed for Jaycce park. Fishing was pretty good too. Only problem was I forgot my tackle box, oops...good news was I had a MirrorDine on one rod and a DOA call on the other. Turns out that was good enough...fished south of the power lines on the west side, picked up a slot trout and a ton of jacks, drifted south for awhile then made our way back north. Stopped on the flats around bear point and picked up a 18" trout on my first cast...all in all a great day on the water with my fiance and my dog.
