Decided to help a friend out and show em the ropes of running and gunning out of St. Lucie Inlet. Left his dock around 5am. He lives in north PSL. Man I forgot how long of a ride it is just to get to the inlet from up there. LOL. Caught a few mullet on the way. Hit PushButton arounf 7:30 put out the BFT spread. With in 2 min Fish on. Nice little BFT. Suddenly the hill was crowed. Decided to take WIX advice from the day before and head deeper looking for that weed line. SInce it was johns first time piloting his 25 Blue Water he was alittle apprehensive. I told him we will just run and take a peak. In about 700 ft due east of Push button Hole there was a huge weedline. Set up a light troll of naked ballywoo just to see what was around. Port rod goes off for six clicks only. I look lines limp reel it in. Bait gone 80 lb wire bit through. I instantly think wahoo. Then with a grin I look at John and say this should be good. I startt to re rig and look to my right and the fish gods placed a bamboo tree right there. I yell to John cut motors. Reel every thing in and start picthing baits. Dolphin start coming from every direction. Chinese fire drill for the next few minutes.
Long story short by 11am tally was :
5 good size fins #10 + each
1 BFT.
And a boat broken in on its first trip. Good Day.
