    Choko kayak report 12/1/2012

I had a great day fishing Choko on Saturday even though the wind was a little challenging. I launched out of CIP about 6:45 and within minutes of reaching the point off the first island I started catching trout. I caught so many trout that I stopped counting after 12. The interesting thing was most of them were sand/sugar trout, it makes me wounder what they favored in that one spot.

It was trout after trout after trout for most of the day but I did manage to find 2 small snook and 4 healthy redfish. All 4 reds were midslot, the smallest was 23 and the biggest was 26!

Overall it was a great day!!!!

Very nice fish. You don't need to go far to find fish in choko. That last pic looks good

Great report! Was down there a couple of weeks ago and had good luck and a blast, what a cool place to fish! Here's a link.

Yeah I saw that report, I'm on that forum too.

Choko is always a great choice to fish. You never have to go far to catch nice fish, usually I'm within a mile of the launch....
