Not up the river yet.. Waiting till it gets a little colder.
I was fishing in the Palma sola area. I like to fish that area once it gets too cold for the jet ski peeps which can be a pain in the summer. I have too many good spots get blown up by a yahoo running his jet ski, out of the channel, in a foot and a half of water. If anyone has fished that area, you will know that it a shallow bay for the most part.
I just take a deep breath wave and move on. They are out there trying to have a good time.

Tx everyone for the positive feedback!!

Great Reds. Nice tip on the iphone app. Do you mind me asking more details with repsect to your brand of weighted weedless hook ?? Where do you buy them ?

Learned a new trick today . Great idea to take a snap shot of the tides mixed in with fish shots. I use "tide graph" for my tide ap . It was just a few $ I believe. The app Has alot of useful information.

The Zman elaztech material can be a challange rigging on a weighted worm hook.
I like to use the mustad ultra point weighted worm hook in a 4/0 and 1/16th weight. It has a pin that can pierce the material and make it easy to rig. Another reason I like this hook is it has an adjustable weight that you can slide from the top of the hook down to the bend. I slide the weight down to the middle of the hook so my bait will stay horizontal in the water column rather that diving head first into the grass. In really shallow water, the bait will stay horizontal and lay flat on top of the grass.

Other jerk baits that I like to use are the zoom brand (baby bass, houdini, smokey shad, arkansas shad). They are in the bass section but they work the same. I just put some procure on them to sweeten the offer. I use an Owner 1/16th weight worm hook in the 4/0 size. These hooks have a cork screw which work good zoom baits but not so well for the zman baits.

    Thanks guys

Do you ever put the Zman on a jig head instead? Was going to give that a try this weekend

I have not tried putting a zman jerkshad on a jig head but it should produce. I might try that to score on some of the gigantic trout that I have been seeing in the pot holes.

Give it a try and let me know how it works for you. Good luc
