Was cyber Monday the best time to buy a camera? I am about to buy the Nikon d3100 package for 476.00. I have looked everywhere online and it appears to be the going rate. Should I wait? Will it be better to wait closer to Christmas or ever after?

Do you really want a DSLR? If not here is a screaming deal on an interchangeable lens camera. >>>> http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...irrorless.html
Now if you want a generation old DSLR are you fixated on Nikon? Here is a slightly better Canon deal >>> http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Canon+-+...specifications
The deal you found on the D3100 is the best I found, today. Probably cheaper after Christmas, if I had to guess.
Fly rods for sale: http://forums.floridasportsman.com/s...-rods-for-sale
prices are kinda set for canon and nikon DSLR gear. They might be able to toss in memory cards or bags or gift cards back but pretty much everyone sells all at the same.
Cheapest I found the d3100 last weekend was $476. I am getting 10% cash back discount from this price however making it a little better deal. Prices seemed to be have a hard floor on this camera for now. It will come down sometime after Christmas however since the d3200 is out.
The Rebel series is very good. I used used a T2 at a wedding (as a guest) last weekend (didn't want to drag the big, heavy stuff) and was very happy with how it worked.
Costco seems to have a good deal on the Nikon D5100, $799 with two lenses. http://www.costco.com/Nikon-D5100-DSLR-Camera-2-Lens-Bundle.product.11659644.html
