Was fortunate to get the call to fish with Brian B and Darcizzle 1/2 day Saturday 12/8/12.
These 2 are truly great people, FUNNY, and an absolute pleasure to work with!
The primary focus was to help teach them the particulars of kite fishing from a CC.
Met Shramco (the OG non double dipper) and got some gogs.
Did a brief rigging / bridle / snell / sea anchor "tutorial", and headed out.
Overall, the conditions were so-so. Blue/green water, light current to the N.
Set up S of Ritz and let it fly. First up was a shark (man they have been thick and a nuisance.)
Next up the TLD starts screaming! Darcizzle fights the fish like a champ, and up pops a 19.5 king.
Reset S of Martini and get another shark, and we missed a toothy fish that skied.
Then we had a CLUMSY hammerhead circle 2 kite baits "rodeo style".
Darcizzle noticed the left short was making a "lateral" movement (as we discussed)
She gets tight and a Dolphin is jumping!! Unfortunatley the fish ate a MONSTER gog and spit it back on second jump.
I "opologized" for the slow 1/2 day, but it felt good they understood ya just can't "make" the fish bite.
Thank you guys VERY much for putting me to work, appreciate you!
PS: Little Bob has been busy. He is decorating for Xmas and "chilling" with his "home boy Frostie".
After a visit to Harbor Isles, he now has a 70' Viking on his Xmas list.
Fly boy can dream, and Steve is right, LB is an awesome wing man!!

. If I may, I'd like to open up another discussion you mentioned here. I fished PB to FtL for 30+ years growing up and sharks were really not a problem most of the year unless you were targeting or ignorant. I moved up to the treasure/space coast ~10 yrs ago and there has always been a shark problem I've noted and been told by longer timers
. recently been fishing more again on the Gold Coast and having more shark problems similar to up north
. Any theories on why, if you have noticed the same???????????? Thanks, Steve
