Went down yesterday afternoon to Econfina River yesterday for some stupid reason (buddies talked me into it) and headed over towards the Aucilla River lookin for some trout and redfish. I knew ahead of time that we would have a negative tide with a steady north which meant the water was very slow coming back into the river. Low tide was suppose to be around 9:00 am so I took my time gettin to the landing. When we got there at 12:30 there was not enough water to put the boat in the river!!40min later the water rose about a 2ft and we were able to put the boat in the water but had to idle out due to the shallow water and rocks.
Somebody please remind me that we are havin fun now!!
Finally started fishin about 1:30 and we had a limit of 15 trout by 3:00!!
Must have caught 50+ fish on Cajun Thunder, 1/4oz jigs, and 3" Shrimp Gulp.
Moved over to some of my redfish spots and only caught more trout. Great day but the high temp was 53-55 with a steady 15-20mph wind which ment it was as "COLD AS ICE" and my fingers were froze so unable to take pictures!! Forgive me please!
I could go home and take a picture of the cooler full of fish in need to clean!![]()
