    Dock Lights ON!

After work I went fishing with two of my buddies. I had been fishing two nights before at dock lights and caught two keepers with one of my friends at work so I figured I would try them again. The wind was blowing hard so my topwaters and mirrolures weren't working to good so my buddy Jahn throws a redtail hawk and first cast brings in a 32in. From then on thats all we through. I hooked into a 30in and my buddy Ryan landed and safely released a 27in and 35in. We were done in an hour and a half. The bite was on at the bottom.Click image for larger version.

Yeah buddy that's how we slay em. I bet if we stayed out longer we could have easily caught a lot more!

Nice job on the snook! I have heard of using the hawks around the bridges and inlets, but I have never heard of anyone using them around the lighted doocks before. I would assume that you would down size to a lighter sized hawk for around the docks vs the ones thrown around bridges?

It's all about location location location. Can't use jigs on all the docks cause not every dock holds that certain structure that attract BIG deep water snook. Pilings, rocks, and crap down below will take your lures. Theres a certain skill and every hook up is a learning experience.

the bite seems to be either on or either off. past few nights been going out and only specifically using the jigs and either its the tide or the water temp creating the difference. could use other lures if i want to catch small snook but rather go for the big ones.
