    I was thnking the same thing when I read 9oz!!!! What rod do you have that can cast the much weight and how far ????
    If a "Blur" passes you on the open water with fishing rods and "highway to Hell" playing.....its just me....

    I sling 10oz lead every now and then. You just can't load up the rod.

    Once it grabs and holds in place a big pomp will bow the rod over hard then ya just reel in a little extra weight with your prize lol. Surly makes you think you have something a bit bigger than u do though

    That's the truth. My arms were tired by the end of the day. I was even able to feel the little micro whiting when they hit. Someone asked what type rod I was using. I just have a couple inexpensive 10' combos from Wal-Mart. One is loaded with 15# and the other has 20#. I plan on upgraded them when the wear out. They are working for me as of now.

    I just grilled up the pompano. It was really good. I am going to have to get back out there and try and get a few more!!

    SZ will be having an "black Friday" sale. I would go looking there if you want to upgrade your gear...
