Sunday offshore report out of red fish pass.
..Winds were stiff ,waves 3 to 4 not the best but to our crew Craig and Frank it would be a walk in the park Trophy was running fine..hit near shore number 7 miles out plenty of grunt red shorts..Moved to a number 13 miles out 47 ft on a ledge 2 keeper reds lost 2 more keepers at the boat broken leaders on a couple by the way they felt..Gags were also in the mix..Chum brought in a bunch of nice size lanes and bigger grunts..Headed in at 3 lot of fish to clean..On the way in ran into a large school on spanish on the feed, we joined the party Craig on the bow hooking up on every other cast fish to 24 inch or more..Now fish box is so full lid will not close..Time to stop!!!Called Mary asked her to meet us at the marina with bottles of wine and snacks for tired but happy crew..Finished a quick cleaning well after dark, will do the finish work today..Not one other boats out there..
Another trip scheduled for Tue it would be nice if winds were less than 20 knots.

the only bait and birds we saw was right out of the pass not more than 1-2 mls off the beach and then some action in the sound about 1 mile in from the passl. Off shore no. the water was clean though and the bight was on

on the way out no surface action, keep in mind it was 3 to 4 so hard to see any bait.. there were no birds offshore even when it was 2 to3s..till we were 4 miles off red fish pass..then it was Spanish and birds all over..
