Venice Beach Spanish Mackerel
There are tons of keeper Spanish south of the Venice jetties toward the Pier. I caught them from the beach, just off the surfline in about three feet of water. They are feeding on the mass of silversides that are swimming along. the beach. I also hooked and released two nice rays that hit the jig teaser. The first ray put on some aerials that would make a Ladyfish envious.

Sunday was an amazing day nearshore. I've only seen it this crazy a handful of times. Anglers caught as many fish as they wanted to in record time. Spanish, Kings, Bonita were up and down the beach from Bradenton to Boca Grande.

Was out a few weeks ago and it was hot! From what I hear the bite has been even better, going to have to try it out. How are the seas?

Went out of Venice Inlet yesterday. Still very good but the Spanish were small and very selective.
