Went over to the east side last night for a quick wading trip. Scouted out a new area and I got a small snook on a gold DOA Shrimp. We kept working down and dad launches a perfect cast down a patch of mangroves. Hooked up! After a good fight, up comes a pretty big flounder. Pictures and released. Saw a lot of action, but had to head back in so the mosquito's didn't eat us alive. Came back this morning with the kayaks and paddled over to a flat we used to fish in the Gheenoe last winter. Dad was trolling to the spot and immediately picked up 2 nice trout before the sun was even up. When we got there, I caught another trout, then got drug around by a beast of a ladyfish. Got behind some docks and found another few trout. Not a bad few trips considering everyone is saying how slow the fishing has been in the river. All fish were caught on Charlie's Viper Minnows on a Scorpion Jig head(except the little snook).
