Tried to tarpon fish in the inlet last night. It bluefish, bluefish, bluefish. And then some more bluefish. I heard the tarpon popping but I couldnt get my mullet to them. There were a few ladyfish mixed in as well. Good action on light tackle. All you want.

We found them last night, jacks, blues and even caught a big ribbon fish in the intracoastal, missed one snook and no tarpon bites
I have not been able to produce a tarpon nite in the last week or so.
Caught a 17 in bluefish off anglins pier on fri and lost two others. Despite what i've heard, I cooked it up and thought it was as good as a yt snapper. I did remove skin and as much dark meat as i could.Originally Posted by wacane
Bluefish is one of my favorite fish to eat. It makes a killer fish cake and chowder.
