I think the Republicans should cooperate with Obama's agenda to a very high degree. If Obama wants to raise the top income tax rate 40%, suggest 45%. If Obama wants to add a dollar a gallon carbon surcharge to each gallon of gas, let's do two dollars a gallon. If Obama wants us to stop drilling for oil and natural gas and move to bicycles and windmills – let's go for it!

Letting Obama have his way with the economy, energy and business will result in such a cluster you know what, that after four years even the college professors will be baking for capitalism. The problem is that even if Obama gets 95% of his agenda and the economy continues to get worse with growing unemployment, Obama will blame the Republicans because they blocked some small portion of his agenda. The only way for the sheeple to see that they are being led to the "slaughter" is to give Obama free reign and let people see where he wants to leave them. Giving Obama free reign for four years may well destroy the country, but a couple of consecutive Democratic administrations like Obama will definitely lead to America's downfall. If people see the chaos that his agenda will bring in a time compressed manner, there may be a chance to save the country.

Boehner just called out the POTUS. If the POTUS wants his legacy to be positive, then he he needs to not be so divisive and agree with the repubs. Boehner brought the POTUS a tax deal once and the POTUS was greedy at the last minute so the deal fell apart. It is the POTUS who is cause the retribution towards himself.

Regarding the Keystone pipeline,how would diverting Canadian oil which currently goes to our mid west, keeping their prices relatively low, to our gulf coast instead, which then would be refined and sold on the world market, help any pro-independent energy group(s) in this country?
