Decided to head out to the dock for a few min. & fish in between laundry, getting stuff ready for dinner. Was reeling in for the last time & felt a pull. I figured it was a blue striped grunt or a pinfish. Well SURPRISE SURPRISE!!! Caught my very first catfish. He was BIG - 18" long. Never caught one before. Was a little scared of him because of what I heard people getting pricked by them. It was no big deal. Of course, I let him go. Here he is. This was caught in the Dania Cutoff Canal on the outgoing tide just about a half an hour ago.
