We went to the HM-1 material to offer more sensitivity from the rod series. The TC4 uses the HM-1 material wrapped with 4 layers of T glass. This allows for a much lighter rod with the same benefits of our previous TC4 type rods. The HM-1 actions are very similar to the previous Cumara models. These are not Cumulus blanks. Cumara users will appreciate the actions and more power from these rods. They also have a hook keeper similiar to what is used on the NRX. If you fish T-rigged plastics, you will appreciate being able to leave the point of your hook burried in the plastic to hand it on the rod.

Of course we have technique specific actions for just about every bass application. Jig, worm, flip, punch, cranks, spinnerbaits, lipless cranks, shaky head, drop shot, tubes and umbrella rig.

The Fuji KR guide train uses the K style frames with some small changes. These were orignally designed for use with braided line to eliminate line wrapping on the frame. The new KR series offer some improvements for the freshwater rods. They combine standard and micro guides to help reduce weight. With micro guides you need more guides to control the line and keep it from contacting the blank (casting models). The benefit of these new guides (and using more guides) are more contact points along the blank which increases sensitivity. The guide design also adds lifting power to the rod. This means more hook setting power from the rod. On the spinning models you will notice increased casting distance and better line control. The way the guides choke the line and funnel it, you will notice the improvements right away. These are not your standard micro guides that you see on other rods.

Do these guides on the spinning model have that annoying braid train sound with tension on the line?

Braided line will make noise going through the guides no matter what. The guide train has nothing to do with that. They do not flex like the Recoil guides which transmit a little more noise.
