Headed out of JP Friday afternoon for some Friday night mangros. Ran into a school of Mahi 30 miles out. Luckily, we had plenty of live whitebait to keep them at the boat. After an hour of mayhem, 33 Mahi were In Da Box and we left them biting to get set up for the nighttime mangro bite. Bite started immediately and 25 mangros boated. Then surprise, surprise the sushi showed up- 20 lb. blackfin. 45 minutes in and the bite shuts down. We call it a night and bring home our good eats. Blessed trip.
