    Islamorada Backcountry ***27&30# REDFISH***

Well the wind is blowing and the weekend fishing report was SLOW for us, we managed a few fish for the "casting for Cats" tournament on saturday, but did manage the largest catfish award (wich my wife is extremely proud of) sunday we managed 12 snook and that was it, wed, thurs and friday of last week was a different story, on wed we fished skinny in tyhe HPX and caught 20 or so so reds to 27" and some BIG snook all on jerkbaits close to home in Islamorada, thursday and friday we took the bayboat loaded with pilchards and caught over 15 cobia ( the sharks were bad) taking almost all hooked fish, from 8# to 20# in one bite and when they didnt the jewfish did, its a awsome sight to see this happen in 12-18' of water, on friday, after catching snook and reds in the cape area we found a massive school of reds and caught several to 30#.. here are some pics

    tight lines

Nice pictures! The biggest bull red had to be quite the battle on lighter tackle.
