    Huguenot Sound surf report...

Headed to the sound this morning at 07:00 to find the waves crashing on the access road.. Never saw the tide that high without a storm driving it. The bait was thick as I've ever seen! I would bet you could use a dip net instead of a cast net.. Tried a couple spots with not much luck because I couldn't get to the spot I was hoping for. The water started to recede so I went down to my intended spot. Within minutes it was on! Got broke off several times by some rather toothy culprits and landed 4 nice blues along with a monster blue.. No reds or pompajacks! Pictures will follow in a bit.

Was it just blues cutting you off or sharks? I might head out there this week just to have fun with some small sharks on some light tackle if they are there in good number. If a big shark spools me i have good reason then for some need line which my reels need.

    Nice report!

Smoking is probably the best way to cook blues.
