    Shallow water gags Oct

As some of you know I got really good at gettin nice gags in shallow water a year or so ago. I havent been out a lot this year yet because the water is not perfect for it yet, but it is getting better. Every time out we do get at least a couple fish. Most fish are in the 24-28inch range. Biggest so far this year has been 33in. Not monsters but still great eating. We have been using every brand of big lipped plugs for them. This year I have found that when you get 1 off one spot hit it over and over again even if the ledge runs for a mile or greater. We were out the other day and were trolling a spot over a mile long but the only hits we were gettin was off one ledge holdin a massive bait school. Anyway here are a few pictures of how we have done thus far. Get out there while you can!!! Only 20 more days left till they close them on us!!!

Has the red tide screwed the shallow water grouper fishin for ya?
Weve been gettin 3-6 keepers from 24-30in a trip in water shallower than 30ft but havent been out since the red tide.

The 35-40 foot ledges are great for them....Last year I was hammering them on rapala 30's (blue mackeral color) and stretch 25+ in dolphin color. Accidently got a big cobe too
