Also, here's another pic of Mindy's big Red. My foot is a little over 11" long, and you can extrapolate (nice word) that it's the length of about 5 of my feet. I estimated the weight at about 60 pounds based on it being very similar to 65 pound speakers that I tote around a lot. Granted, the fish is slippery, so that might make it seem heavier.

Some big boys there. The one I got in the surf using the calculations weighted 63 lbs so there are some monsters roaming around.

Either way, they are all big fish. It would be nice if I had a sling style scale system on the boat (like the one they use in the PTTS)... but, thats getting a little crazy there.

All it takes is some netting, a drill, zip ties and a couple 3 or 4' pieces of PVC to make one.

Great story on her catching her first fish. Way to put her on em. Too bad certain people feel the need to ambush peoples threads with their "infinite wisdom", when obviously your an accomplished angler. Great job making that woman smile from ear to ear, thats what its all about!

Not sure of an age. next time Ill cut it in half and count the rings lol! J/K haha... This is just a shot in the dark but guessing around 40 years old. They can grow up to 60+ inches and over 100lbs. They live to be between 50-60 years.
